Summer Camp Information 2012

The troop will be attending summer camp at S Bar F.

The troop will be attending July 15-21

This page will be completely updated when information is available.

We will be leaving Harvester Christian Sunday morning at 10AM. Scouts need to arrive by 9:30AM to check-in and help load. Scouts must travel in field uniform (Class A). They will be taking swim tests shortly after arriving, so please have them in swim shorts to travel as well. Each patrol is responsible for travel arrangements for their patrol. Check with your patrol advisor to see what the plans are. I have transportation sheets per patrol. If any advisors need the list, just let me know. We will be stopping on the way to camp and on the way home from camp for lunch. Please send enough money with your scout for meals both ways. As well, there is a trading post where the scouts can buy snacks, craft supplies, merit badge pamphlets, and collectables.

Family night is Thursday night. Families are welcome to arrive anytime after 4:30PM. Visitors are welcome to make reservations and eat with their scout in the Dining Hall, but reservation must be made by early Monday evening. Let me know Sunday if you want reservations. Last year I noticed several families brought fastfood for their scout…just an idea. You are welcome to stay for the Order of the Arrow Call-Out. It is suggested you bring chairs, bugspray and water for the ceremony. Plan on leaving immediately after the ceremony. DO NOT RETURN TO THE CAMPSITE. Thursday night is also “shoebox” night. Basically, you send a care package for your son and he receives it Thursday night. Shoeboxes are to be dropped off with leaders on Sunday. Do not put anything in the care package that will melt!!

You can send letters to your scout in two ways: prepare letters in advance and give them to me on Sunday. Please mark what day that you would like the letter to be delivered. You can also send a letter directly to the camp at:
