Special Awards

Besides advancement awards, Scouts may earn other individual awards. For a complete list of all awards within the Boy Scouts of America, visit Awards Central.

Many of these special awards require award applications and/or nomination forms. Scouts should read award requirements carefully to ensure they qualify and complete all necessary steps.

Some awards, such as the STEM Supernova Awards series and William T. Hornaday Awards series, require Scouts to contact an advisor/counselor to certify and sign off on requirements. Like the Merit Badge counselor program, it is best to find a special award advisor/counselor early in the process to ensure success.
